My baby turns 1 in July!  He isn’t walking just yet, but he’s ever so close.  I’ve given up on keeping my dining chairs in place, as every time I turn around he’s pushing one by one at full speed into the (freshly painted & textured!) walls.  It’s impossible to be upset about it, as it is the most hilarious thing to see how angry he gets about the fact that he can’t pass through the wall.

I never expected to be such a sentimental mother! However, I’m sure that everyone who knows me well saw it coming from miles away.  My friend Wendy and I were just discussing how watching our babies grow and change is so bittersweet.  Don’t you think so?

I will post photos of Wendy and her family very soon!

I can’t tell you how unlikely it seems that I am a business owner. If you haven’t heard, I launched Casey Rosenbaum Photography just a few months ago… And I’m having a blast! I’ve had the privilege of photographing some of my favorite friends and making some new ones.

Here are some photos from my recent session on Friday. If you’re a fan, see more at My Facebook Page, as I’m still getting my website up and running. If you’re interested in photos, drop me a line! I would be honored!

Isn’t it lovely?!  It’s amazing what one can accomplish when the baby will nap.  If you think that’s something, you’ve GOT to check out this AMAZING cake my cousin Josie made for her little one’s 1st Birthday!
Yowza!!!
I’m guessing little Carla takes her naps!
What do you like to do with your free time?  Are you cursing me for having said “free time”?  If so, I’m  truly sorry:).  Have a great week!  Be good to yourself and do something you love!

Zac and I spent our recent date night at Rodeo Austin eating cheesy nachos, extra long corn dogs and funnel cakes while watching bull riding! So much risk associated with pretty much everything that happens at a rodeo… From the food to the sport. Totally worth it! We had such a wonderful time watching men be gored by angry bulls. What do they do to make those bulls lose their everlovin’ minds anyway? I hear they tie their testes in knots that only eagle scouts can undo and give them a good goosing on the way out of the chute. If I had testicles I imagine I would get pretty crazy too.

All my life I’ve been going to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (mostly for the concerts!), but for some reason it never dawned on me how absolutely insane it is to strap yourself on the back of a raging bull. And now I have never been so proud to be born country, if you will.:).

Thanks to my friend Ruby for tucking Judah into bed while we were out!
